Famous netballer

We have emailed the famous netball player Julie Corletto

Hi

Hope you're well.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you I have had computer and email issues.

Question 1:what are the advntages on netball?

I love the game. It's fun, it keeps you fit and healthy. You can make some great friends and learn so many things from the game.

Question 2:what are the disavantages of netball?

I wish I could be a professional athlete like many male dominated sports, however we are on the way to being that way one day hopefully sooner rather than later.

Question 3:what do these advatages and disavatages do to the community?

Netball is great for our community. It gets people out and about being active on mailing Saturday mornings. It keeps you fit and healthy and elite Netballers are positive role models for the sport in our community. A disadvantage in our community…. I don't think I can think of a real disadvantage of Netball in our community, I may be a little biase.

Question 4:how does this impact you?

I love the game and love to see everyone in our community getting involved in the game in someway. There is so many ways people can get involved and it's great to see.

All the best.

The centre is the link player from the defence third to the goal third and plays an important role in both attack and defence. They are allowed to move over the whole court, except the goal circles.

Wing Attack (WA)
The main task of the Wing Attack is to deliver the ball to the Goal Shooter/Attack using a variety of attacking moves. They are allowed to move in the attacking goal third and the centre third, but not in the goal circle.

Goal Attack (GA)
The Goal Attack shares the goal shooting responsibilities with the Goal Shooter, and is allowed to move within the goal third and centre third. The Goal Attack must also work closely with the WA on the centre pass to gain possession and feed the ball to the GS.
